Book a Cheap Flight and beat the weather
Book a Cheap Flight and beat the weather
Dalaman, TurkeyThe suggestion by the Met Office that it over-played its prediction for a long hot dry summer is boosting sales of cheap flights and hotels say online travel agency airflights.co.uk.
Back in April the Met Office predicted a great summer with higher than average temperatures and lower than average rainfall prompting its press office to suggest the now infamous barbecue summer.
However, the great British weather choose the ignore the Met Office and gave us all an unusually wet July and with the prospects for August looking wet windy and miserable. The Met Office has now revised its prediction.
Lots of Europe are enjoying a heat wave, according to The association of British Travel Agents (Abta), which said that some members are seeing bookings boom as people give up hope of a hot domestic summer. The UK weather is a major determinant of holiday bookings and Abta said members have seen bookings up 30% in the last two weeks and up to 40% up on last year. This is borne out by our unprecedented level of bookings coming in online and over the telephone say airflights. Holiday makers want some sunshine and with some great deals around on cheap flights and hotels in places such as Turkey and Egypt people are deciding to travel to avoid the dismal weather at home say airflights.co.uk.
Airflights Direct are independent travel agency established for over 14 years and are fully Abta protected. They specialise in cheap flights and hotels to resorts such as Kalamata, Chania, Heraklion, Kos, Zante Rhodes, Mykonos, Kefalonia, Santorini, Samos, Corfu, Malaga, Alicante, Tenerife, Antalya, Dalaman, Bodrum, Egypt and Paphos and Larnaca in Cyprus. Bask in 40 degrees with a cheap flight from airflights.co.uk
Dalaman, TurkeyThe great holiday exodus from the UK continues this weekend as washed up holiday makers seek the sunshine of the Mediterranean.
Last minute bookings are through the roof report airflights.co.uk a top internet travel agency. Airflights say the most popular destinations are the Spanish Costas of Malaga and Alicante with Bodrum , Dalaman and Cyprus also very popular. Places such as Marmaris, Side and Alanya in Turkey are popular as they are outside the Eurozone whilst the Red sea resorts of Sham El Sheikh and Hurghada in Egypt are attracting sun worshippers and Divers as they bask in temperatures of 40 degrees. Airflights say that the demand is high due to the availability of cheap flights and the uncertain weather in the UK. British families love the sun and sand holiday and frankly despite the economic climate they would rather go abroad to some guaranteed sunshine rather than risk the huge expense of keeping the kids occupied in a damp and windy UK seaside resort.
